Brighter Futures tailors projects and offers support, that meets the needs of the communities we work with, we do this by offering learning, volunteering and participation activities and events.
Our group was set up to help and support local families to make a sustainable difference, in their community and their lives. We do this by offering local opportunities, structured activities and health, wellbeing and lifestyle support. We want to involve and work with the community as a whole, through local schools, nurseries, youth groups, GP surgeries and community groups.
Brighter Futures understands that structured activities are key to engaging individuals. For example, our growing course teaches people how to grow their own produce from picking what they would like to grow, to nurturing seedlings and protecting them, taking what they learnt home to continue and create their very own community kitchens or allotment spaces. The benefits include: being outdoors with like minded people, learning to grow organic food, and engaging in weekly structured activities. This can have numerous positive effects on an individual’s health and well-being. These benefits span across physical, mental, emotional, and social aspects.
